I have been babying a giant papyrus all summer and it is doing well, but would like some advice on how to divide it, propigate it , or just general care since no one here in Florida seems to be able to help me. By the way, I live in an apartment and it's in a very large pot, but I'm not sure if it's a big enough pot. It's about 8 feet tall. :)

Can you tell me which variety you are growing? Is it the umbrella variety?

I believe it is an umbrella papyrus ...at least it is umbrella- like. It's 6' to 8' tall at present. It was an impulse buy... I saw it in a plant store and had to have it...they told me it was an Giant Egyptian Papyrus. I recently re-potted it (for the second time) and it is happy again. :)

I found some small seeds on my "Umbrellas" and I planted them. Now I have lots of babies...it's so fun.
